Support with Depression

If you are dealing with depression or fear that you might be, the most important thing is that you let other people in on your thoughts. Nico and his team are not trained specialists. However, they do want to ensure that your message does not go unheard.

IMPORTANT: If you are currently going through a deep crisis or are having suicidal thoughts, immediately call the emergency line 112 in Germany, Belgium and Switzerland or 144 in Austria!

If you are not doing well and you need to talk with someone, please call your country's emergency number right away. You can find the numbers below. For the most part you can reach them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (even on holidays).

Germany

Austria

Switzerland

Belgium

You can also turn to the numbers above if it is not you who is suffering from depression, but rather someone you know. Mental health illnesses also have an effect on the surrounding environment, so it is important that you also take care of your health and inform yourself about support services and speak with your friends and family.

If your fear that somebody close to you may be at risk of suicide, explicitly address the matter with this person. Clearly communicate your concern and offer your support. Further information can be found on the website of the German Society of Suicide Prevention or here.
